The 3rd book in J.J. Wright’s pre-teen series, Skate Park. Skate Park is a series of stories aimed at pre-teens and see a group of kids growing up and having to deal with friendships, not being children any more and the possible closure of the skate park. Each story tells the tale from one of the kids point of view, focusing on how they see the world and the others.
Skate Park: Victoria and the Petition focuses on Victoria, the skate parks resident nerd and know it all. Victoria is forced by her ‘hippy’ parents to go outside and socialise with other kids. Victoria’s way of rebelling is to do her homework, read books and eat all of her greens. She is quite the rebel. News of possible closure to the park has reached the kids and they all look to Victoria to find the solution to the problem. After the most mild of panic attacks Victoria realises that they need to get a petition started to try and stop the evil Councillor Pearce.
This is the 3d book in the Skate Park series, which is a series of stories about a group of early teen and pre-teen kids who hang around in a skate park. The 1st story in the series, Skate Park: Lucy and the Skate Park is available as a free download.
